Banff, Alberta

SCROLL DOWN

Banff, Alberta

Banff, Alberta is truly a legendary place to visit. Nestled high in the Canadian Rockies, this mountain town is one of the top tourist attractions in North America. For over 125 years, Banff National Park has provided visitors with a magical combination of unspoiled wilderness, modern amenities, and opportunities for active exploration.

Located only a 90 minute drive from Calgary International Airport, the protected Banff National Park is a traveler's mecca for good reason. Whether it be in a car, on a bike, in a canoe, or with a pair of snowshoes or hiking boots, this area of the world is asking to be continuously discovered by visitors and residents alike. Protected since 1883, and for good reason, all roads (dirt or concrete) in Banff National Park act as a gateway to the best hidden gem of all: the town of Banff.

Whether you're on a camper's budget or choosing a more luxurious route, Banff offers a choice of accomodation, shops, restaurants, and endless outdoor activities (golf, hiking, biking, hot springs, yoga, spa, water sports, etc) to make your trip a memorable one. The history of this mountain town is also well preserved at a number of museums and heritage sites, while new memories are created throughout the year at world class festivals and events.

However, the true allure of Banff for most visitors is its close proximity to the park's incredible attractions and best-kept wilderness secrets. With 1600 kilometres of trails, two gondolas, three ski areas, stunning glacier-fed lakes, all surrounded by endless mountain peaks, Banff is a premier destination for authentic hospitality and endless exploration, and in this case, celebration!

Accommodations

Accommodations

One of the most wonderful aspects of traveling to Banff is the ease this small mountain town has created for travelers and tourists alike. The Fairmont Banff Springs is where the wedding will take place, so rooms are available at the hotel for guests. By mentioning the Davidson/Morehouse wedding on August 8, 2015 you will receive a discounted hotel room when booked. We STRONGLY suggest if you do plan on staying at the Springs you book ASAP. This hotel, despite its larger size, sells out incredibly fast due to high demand. By booking in advanced you will guarantee a reservation and convenience at staying within the wedding venue as well.

However, if the Springs is not where you plan on staying, Banff has tons of other hotels and travel accommodations available. Other recommended hotel options include, but are not limited to: The Rimrock, Fox Hotels and Suites, and Hidden Ridge Resort. Tunnel Mountain is also a wonderful place to stay for families with younger children. If there are any questions or concerns regarding hotel and accommodations, please feel free to contact Ashley or Chris at (403) 909-2549, or for the Banff Springs contact Marianne at (403) 762-6866.
